FD EXPO or Thailand Friendly Design Expo , is not just a "fair" but a platform that drives real change for Thai society! We're proud to be part of creating accessible facilities for everyone (Friendly Design) and promoting tourism for all (Tourism for All).
Our past achievements are a testament to this commitment:
â Airplane Boarding Ramps: We pushed the Ministry of Transport, through the Department of Airports, to procure and deliver airplane boarding ramps to all 23 provincial airports across the country. This ensures that all passengers, including wheelchair users, older adults, people with disabilities, and those recovering from health issues, can travel by plane conveniently and safely.
â Wall-mounted Changing Tables for adults in Restrooms: Piloted at ICONSIAM and PTT Station Vibhavadi 62, adult changing tables have been installed in special restrooms to facilitate older adults, wheelchair users, and those with limited mobility.
â Tour Buses with Lifts: Friendly Design Construction & Transport Co., Ltd. provides tour buses equipped with lifts, enabling wheelchair users to travel comfortably and safely.
â Nong Nooch Pattaya Garden: The entire area has been upgraded to be universally accessible, including Friendly Design restrooms and 42 Friendly Design rooms. A tram service with a lift is also available to accommodate visitors of all ages and abilities.
â Friendly Design at Wat Pho Chai, Nong Khai: A lift to the Ubosot (ordination hall) and ramps at the door thresholds have been installed to provide convenient and safe access for wheelchair users to pay respects to the Luang Pho Phra Sai Buddha statue.
These are just a few examples of the successes achieved through the collaboration of all sectors at FD EXPO. We believe that Friendly Design is not just a trend but a necessity for a truly sustainable society.
